Elwin van der Kolk(1972)
Elwin has been drawing and watching birds all his life.
He illustrated many books and he is the main illustrator for the Dutch society for the protection of birds (Vogelbescherming Nederland).
His paintings, mostly done in acrylics, show birds in their natural habitat. “Somehow I have the urge to fix my observations and to get a hold on them. Hundreds ideas are waiting, because the variety in shape and colour in nature is extraordinarily great”.
